# Flame Control (DD-476)

> Controlled or prescribed burns are fires set deliberately and carefully managed by trained crews. They clear dead vegetation and underbrush, restore fire-adapted ecosystems and reduce the fuel that drives severe wildfires. The footage, credited to curioXities (partly legible), shows a thin line of fire creeping across a park lawn under trees.
