Amazing Bear Ability

Short answer: Bears have one of the keenest senses of smell of any land mammal. Their large nasal cavities hold a huge surface of scent-detecting tissue.

The US National Park Service says a bear's sense of smell is about seven times better than a bloodhound's, and bears are widely reported to smell food from miles away. They use smell to find food, track mates and cubs, and detect other bears and people. The footage shows bears sniffing and foraging, with the presenter.
