Video transcript: nICE: Ice Factories Freeze Huge Blocks, Then Slice Them With Saws

Did you know, in ice factories, large blocks are cut and processed using industrial bandsaws or specialized cutting machines. After being lifted from molds by cranes or conveyor systems, the ice is sliced into manageable sizes like cubes or crushed ice. For custom orders, machines can shape or etch the blocks to specific dimensions or designs. Once cut, the ice is rinsed to remove fine particles, ensuring a clean appearance and smooth texture. Finally, the ice is packaged and stored in temperature controlled rooms, ready for distribution. NOW YOU KNOW!
