Soros

Short answer: George Soros is a Hungarian-American investor and philanthropist.

He made his fortune in hedge funds, notably the Quantum Fund, and became famous on September 16, 1992 ('Black Wednesday'), when his short bet against the British pound earned about $1 billion as the U.K. left the European Exchange Rate Mechanism. Through his Open Society Foundations he has given more than $32 billion, the Reel says, to causes such as democracy, human rights and education. He is also a prominent, and often debated, political donor. The footage, credited to Bloomberg Originals, shows Soros.
